In a move to significantly bolster its domestic production capabilities, Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC has officially entered into a Sale Purchase Agreement to acquire the factory premises of ACME Printing and Packaging PLC.
The agreement, executed on April 28, 2026, involves the purchase of the premises located at Assessment No. 345, Gonamadiththa Road, Piliyandala. The transaction is valued at a total price of Rs. 630,000,000 (Six Hundred and Thirty Million Rupees).
According to a formal disclosure made to the Colombo Stock Exchange, the primary objective behind this substantial investment is the expansion of the Company’s local manufacturing business. This acquisition aligns with broader industrial trends focusing on localizing production chains within the country.
