Sri Lanka’s growing reputation as a luxury destination wedding hub was showcased through one of the country’s most prominent international celebrations, Prem Sivasamy the Group Deputy Chairman of Lyca Mobile & his wife hosted a three-night wedding celebration for their son at Cinnamon Bentota Beach hotel, welcoming 600 guests from around the world.

The landmark celebration brought together Oksana, a bride from Eastern Europe and Ravishan, a groom from Sri Lanka's diaspora, demonstrating Sri Lanka's increasing popularity as a destination where many cultures, traditions, and families come together. The event also showcased the country's capability to host extravagant celebrations with international guests, bespoke experiences, and world-class hospitality.

The celebration included six distinctly themed events, each with its own creative direction, décor, entertainment, culinary delights, and guest atmosphere. It was conceptualized, designed, and executed by Magical Moments by Charm, Sri Lanka's premier destination wedding planning company.

The celebration that lived up to international expectations, brought together a network of Sri Lankan professionals, including designers, florists, lighting and audio-visual specialists, luxury rental providers, entertainers, production teams, and hospitality partners, from initial concept development and event design to production and execution.

The celebration, which took place at Cinnamon Bentota Beach, demonstrated how Sri Lanka's luxury hospitality sector can produce destination weddings that meet international standards. The resort served as the backdrop for a multi-day experience that blended premium hospitality, event planning, and personalized guest experiences.

Several distinguished guests attended the celebration, including Allirajah Subaskaran, Group Chairman of Lyca Mobile; Jason Sanjay, an Indian actor and film director and the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay; Tamil Kumaran, President of the Tamil Film Producers Council South India and several other dignitaries. The presence of internationally recognized business leaders, distinguished guests and influential personalities reinforced the significance of the celebration.

With performances chosen for each of the six events, entertainment played a major role in the celebration. In addition to a rare live performance by renowned Indian composer, music producer, and singer Santhosh Narayanan, who is well-known for his work in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema, the grand reception featured a special performance by Indian band Makka, who travelled to Sri Lanka exclusively for the occasion.
