Advantis, the transportation and logistics arm of Hayleys PLC, has introduced Sri Lanka's largest crane, the country's first and only 900-tonne crawler crane, through its joint venture with Sarens, expanding the country's capacity to undertake complex heavy-lift and project cargo work.

The new crane strengthens Advantis' engineered heavy-lifting capability across renewable energy, infrastructure and industrial projects. The 900-tonne crane is part of an expanded specialised fleet that builds on Advantis' existing heavy-lifting capabilities and includes a 280-tonne crawler crane, wind blade adaptor trailers, tower trailers and prime movers. This expanded fleet enables Advantis to take on larger and more technically demanding projects in Sri Lanka.

The joint venture with Sarens brings global engineering standards and technical expertise to Advantis' operations. The Company's project logistics capability spans the full delivery chain, covering freight management, customs clearance, inland transportation, heavy lifting, equipment positioning and installation support. Advantis also handles factory and power plant relocations.

As the first deployment of the new fleet, Advantis is supporting Haywind One Limited's 50MW wind power project. The scope covers port handling, transportation, site unloading and the erection of wind turbine components, demonstrating the Company's ability to deliver complex, technically demanding logistics operations in line with internationally recognised standards.
