Maliban Biscuit Manufactories has strengthened its standing among Sri Lanka’s leading corporates, securing 15th place in LMD’s Most Respected Entities in Sri Lanka 2026 ranking, moving up five positions from 20th place in 2025.
The advancement reflects Maliban’s growing reputation within Sri Lanka’s corporate community and places the company among the country’s Top 20 most respected entities. The recognition is particularly significant as the ranking is based on the perceptions of senior professionals across Sri Lanka’s corporate sector, evaluating organisations through their leadership, performance and reputation.
The 2026 Most Respected Entities survey was conducted by PepperCube Consultants in collaboration with LMD during March and April, drawing responses from 600 professionals at managerial level or above. Participants were selected from organisations listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange, the 2024/25 LMD 100 and Brands Annual 2025.
To ensure diversity and minimise organisational bias, no more than six respondents were selected from a single organisation, while participants were not permitted to nominate their own employer.
For the overall Most Respected ranking, respondents were invited to nominate three organisations they considered most respected. A weighted scoring system awarded five points for a first-place nomination, three points for second place and one point for third, with the aggregate score determining the final ranking.
Maliban’s progression from 20th position in 2025 to 15th in 2026 represents a notable improvement within a ranking that includes some of Sri Lanka’s largest and most established corporate entities.
The achievement adds to Maliban’s long-standing corporate reputation built over more than seven decades in Sri Lanka. From its roots as a home-grown biscuit manufacturer, Maliban has evolved into one of the country’s recognised food brands, with its reputation shaped by a continued emphasis on quality, consistency and consumer trust.
The latest ranking further demonstrates the strength of Maliban’s reputation beyond product preference, reflecting the regard in which the organisation is held within the wider business community.
As Maliban continues to strengthen its operations and brand presence, its five-place advancement in the 2026 Most Respected Entities ranking reinforces the company’s position among Sri Lanka’s leading and most recognised corporate names.
