Ever been fascinated at the way your bartender mixes his cocktails? Well, here’s a chance for you to pour, mix and create your own drinks under the guidance of our mixologist, Lahiru De Silva of Colombo Courtyard.

Cocktails has an interesting history with a surge in popularity during the 1920’s Prohibition era in the United States when consuming alcohol was illegal. Which alcohol was still available illegally in establishments known as Speakeasies, the alcohol available was of a much lower quality hence juices and other flavours were added to mask the taste of the cheap alcohol.

The night starts off by learning the ABC’s of alcohol; from the primary components found in our favourite spirits to the diverse variety of bar glasses available. We will teach you the basic techniques and get you familiar with the equipment.

Once you head behind the bar, Lahiruwill help you create two classic and two of his signature cocktails. He will guide you through a captivating, eye-opening and, dare we say, tasty, look at the Bartender’s Craft.

If you ask nicely, he may even let you create your own signature cocktail!
