The proposal presented by the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Dr. Rajitha Senarathne, upon the recommendation of cabinet appointed procurement committee to purchase 600 million tons of full cream milk powder for the production of Thriposha from Milco (pvt) Ltd, in order to create a healthy society free of malnutrition, was approved by the cabinet of ministers.

Presently, the ministry of Health spends a sum of approximately Rs.1500 million annually for Thriposha Production.
