The Global Young Leaders Dialogue (GYLD) is an initiative of the Chinese NGO think tank Center for China & Globalization (CCG) in association with the Academy of Contemporary China & World Studies. To coincide with the Communist Party of China (CPC) centenary celebrations 36 foreign youth from 28 countries were visiting various parts of the Peoples Republic of China (PRC) to get a better understanding & learn more about the Chinese success story. After their study tour they wrote to President Xi (who also heads the CPC) to congratulate the CPC centenary & shared their experiences from their visits to the PRC & their plans to be a bridge to promote exchanges & more dialogue with the peoples of PRC.
In a reply to their letter the Chinese leader highlighted how the Chinese people; built a rich & a beautiful homeland, created a colorful culture & realized their dream to live a well-off life. President Xi also stated that PRC managed to develop its own success story learning from the past & good friends best suited for national conditions & following its own path. He stated that PRC’s path to modernization is getting wider developing itself & the world. He encouraged youth leaders to engage more in mutual learning & to contribute to build a shared future for mankind.
At a time when most world economies crashed in front of COVID – 19, China is in fact contributing indirectly to build a better world by helping societies to stand up against the pandemic. In a written message last week President Xi informed the newly launched forum on COVID-19 vaccine cooperation that PRC would donate 100 million USD to the COVAX initiative & also provide up to 2 billion doses of COVID – 19 vaccines globally in 2021 ensuring China’s commitment to help developing countries fight the pandemic (Ref.
