A Closer Look at What Samsung’s Mini LED TVs Bring to the Screen

October, 13, 2026

A good television is about more than screen size. Samsung Sri Lanka launched its latest range of Mini LED TVs in September, bringing a combination of advanced display technology and AI-powered features to local consumers.

Samsung’s latest Mini LED TVs bring these elements together with a combination of display technology and AI-powered features. At the centre of the experience is its technology, which uses smaller LEDs than conventional LED TVs. This allows the TV to control light more precisely across the screen, resulting in stronger contrast and greater detail.

That becomes particularly noticeable in scenes with both very bright and very dark areas. Mini LED HDR helps maintain brightness in highlights while retaining detail in darker parts of the picture. Instead of simply making an image brighter, the technology is designed to give the TV greater control over how light is presented.

Colour is another part of the picture. Pure Spectrum Color, supported by advanced phosphor technology, produces a wider range of colours for More Accurate colors for Natural looking Images. Color Booster adds further refinement, helping colours stand out while maintaining the detail within the scene.

“We want our customers to experience the difference that technology can make in their everyday entertainment. With our latest Mini LED TVs, we have brought together advanced picture quality, AI-powered features and smoother viewing to create an experience that is both immersive and easy to enjoy. We are pleased to bring these innovations to Sri Lankan consumers,” said Mr. Sabry Ansar, Director/ Head Consumer Electronics, Samsung Electronics, Sri Lanka & Maldives.

A lot of the work happens without viewers having to change a setting. Samsung’s NQ4 AI Gen2 Processor analyses content in real time and adjusts elements such as contrast, colour and clarity.

It also uses AI-powered upscaling to improve lower-resolution content, helping older shows, videos and other sources look clearer on a larger screen. The idea is simple: the TV does more of the work, so viewers do not have to.

The Vision AI Companion adds another way to interact with the TV. Viewers can ask questions, search for information or find out more about what they are watching directly from the screen. It turns the television into something that can respond to the viewer, rather than simply display content.

For football fans, Soccer Mode is designed to make matches more engaging by enhancing key details, colours and clarity on the pitch. Players and important moments are easier to follow, particularly when the action moves quickly from one end of the field to the other.

The attention to detail extends to sound as well. AI Sound Controller adjusts audio based on what is happening on screen, helping balance different elements of the soundtrack. Dialogue can remain clearer during a film, while commentary and the atmosphere of a live sporting event can be heard without getting lost in the background.

Together, these features reflect a shift in what consumers can expect from a television. The screen is still at the heart of the experience, but the processing, sound and intelligence behind it are becoming just as important.

With its combination of Mini LED technology, AI-powered picture processing, interactive features and smoother sports viewing, Samsung’s latest Mini LED range is designed to make the most of the big screen, whatever happens to be playing on it.
