Allianz Insurance Lanka Limited is marking the fifth consecutive year of its flagship Allianz Protect initiative, reaffirming its continued commitment to promoting road safety awareness and responsible commuting practices among school children across Sri Lanka.
Taking place from September 14th to 16th, the three-day nationwide campaign is focused on encouraging safer road behaviour among children while advocating greater awareness of responsible commuting practices from an early age. As road safety remains an important national priority, Allianz Lanka continues to support initiatives that encourage a stronger culture of safety and responsibility among young road users.
As part of the 2026 campaign, Allianz Lanka is distributing 1,500 child-safe helmets across 30 cities nationwide, bringing the cumulative number of helmets distributed through the Allianz Protect initiative to 6,800 since its inception. The milestone reflects the company’s sustained commitment to supporting safer communities and helping protect the youth on Sri Lankan roads.
The continued scale of the programme demonstrates Allianz Lanka’s long-term commitment to prevention, protection and community wellbeing, extending the company’s role beyond providing insurance solutions to actively contributing to the safety of the people and communities it serves.
This initiative is once again being carried out in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Police, enabling structured engagement with school children and communities across the country. Allianz Lanka has also partnered with HH Co, which has generously contributed a number of helmets to support this year’s campaign and its objective of strengthening road safety awareness among children.
