Araliaya Big Month Rewards Higher Savings for Women

NDB Araliya is a special savings account dedicated to women, which aims to encourage the Bank’s female customers to save more with NDB in order to invest in their futures. NDB Araliya is an initiative in line with the Bank’s sustainability agenda aimed at empowering women and promoting female participation in economic and social sectors. Furthermore, NDB propagates this notion through a diverse array of awareness programmes and customer engagement activities to provide ample opportunities for Sri Lankan women to develop skills and hone their talents. One such programme is the NDB Aralia Big Month Promotion, which advocates for saving by offering varied financial and non-financial benefits to customers.

During this festive season, customers who open new accounts with a minimum initial deposit of Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000 will receive complimentary Araliya-branded gifts such as an Araliya Pouch and an Araliya Umbrella respectively. While existing Araliya account holders who make a deposit of Rs 10,000 or Rs 20,000 will also be eligible for the promotion and receive the same complementary gifts.

The account holders that fulfill the monthly commitments are eligible for numerous attractive benefits, providing that certain conditions have been met, such as higher interest rates, a free Shilpa savings account at childbirth with a maximum deposit of Rs 25,000, a free life protection cover of up to Rs 1,000,000 for the account holder and family, and a free hospitalization cover for the account holder and family members, free medical check-ups for the account holder after five years from the date of opening the account. Customers that take part in the Araliya promotion will receive a gift voucher on their 21st birthday, an Araliya-branded ATM debit card, and will also be able to request for e-statements or passbooks, as well as access to the NDB Neos mobile banking application and its online banking facilities. Additionally, female employees with Araliya accounts are entitled to a loan facility in the form of a salary advance.
