Sri Lanka’s latest Cabinet decisions revealed that Sri Lanka’s  Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) Departure Walkway in Katunayake will have 6 Currency Exchange Counters in the future.

Accordingly proposal made by Nimal Siripala de Silva, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, to call for bids from the financial institutions approved by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka to increase the currency exchange counters in the Departure Walkway at Bandaranaike International Airport up to 06 and to conduct such services uninterruptedly from the year 2019 for the convenience of the finance and foreign exchange activities of the tourists who use the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, had been approved by the Cabinet.
