  • CAMS brings proven expertise from India's mutual fund ecosystem to support Ceybank and strengthen its presence in Sri Lanka

Ceybank Asset Management Ltd. (Ceybank), one of Sri Lanka’s leading Unit Trust Management Companies, is building on a strong partnership with Computer Age Management Services Limited (CAMS), India’s largest Mutual Fund Registrar and Transfer Agent (RTA).

The partnership has supported Ceybank Asset Management’s efforts to strengthen its operating framework, advance its digital transformation and enhance investor experience for Sri Lanka’s evolving unit trust market. Through the partnership, CAMS has worked closely with Ceybank to support Fund operations, enhance investor experience, strengthen distributor capabilities and advance technology-led efficiencies, helping build a more scalable foundation for the company’s next phase of growth.

The collaboration brings together Ceybank Asset Management’s deep understanding of the Sri Lankan market and CAMS’ experience in technology-enabled Fund administration, investor experience and distributor engagement. CAMS services approximately 68% of India’s mutual fund industry’s average Assets under Management (AuM) and has built its capabilities through years of operating in a highly regulated market environment in India. This experience has supported Ceybank’s focus on significantly strengthening its operating foundation, enhancing scalability and aligning its capabilities with local market requirements and the future growth of Sri Lanka’s unit trust industry.

Speaking on the occasion, Ian Ferdinands, CEO & Executive Director, Ceybank, said, "Our partnership with CAMS has helped strengthen our operations framework and enhance the experience we deliver to investors and distributors. CAMS brings extensive experience from India's mutual fund ecosystem, and their expertise in technology, process excellence and investor experience has supported our efforts to build a stronger foundation for growth. We look forward to continuing this partnership as we further enhance our capabilities and deliver greater value to our stakeholders."

Anuj Kumar, Managing Director, CAMS, added, “We are grateful to Ceybank Asset Management for the trust placed in CAMS as their technology and service partner. This partnership has been an important step in our journey of extending our platform-led capabilities beyond India, and more importantly, it has helped us build a deeper understanding of Sri Lanka’s unit trust market. Our journey so far has been about collaboration, learning and aligning our operating model to Ceybank’s priorities and local market requirements. We see this as the beginning of a long-term relationship built on shared commitment, service excellence, governance and investor-centricity.”

Building on the progress achieved through the partnership, Ceybank and CAMS will continue to focus on strengthening digital access, enhancing investor experience and building distributor capabilities to drive the long-term development of Sri Lanka’s unit trust market.
