The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Sri Lanka has reached another historic milestone by securing two prestigious national titles at the National Business Excellence Awards (NBEA) 2026, organized by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL). At the awards ceremony, held on 29 July 2026 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo, CIPM was honoured as the Winner – Education Sector and Winner – Medium Category, reaffirming its position as Sri Lanka's apex professional body for Human Resource Management.

Widely recognized as Sri Lanka's most prestigious platform for recognizing and celebrating excellence in the corporate sector, the National Business Excellence Awards honour organizations that demonstrate outstanding leadership, innovation, resilience, sound corporate governance, sustainability, technological advancement, and exemplary compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.

The evaluation process is conducted through a rigorous three-stage assessment, comprising a comprehensive desk review by a panel of technical experts, detailed presentations and interviews with shortlisted organizations to evaluate strategic and operational excellence, followed by a final independent assessment by an eminent panel of judges to determine the national winners. The assessment is based on the National Business Excellence Model, which measures organizational performance across seven key dimensions: Leadership and Strategy, Corporate Governance, Capacity Building, Performance Management, Local and Global Market Reach, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), and Financial Results.

Emerging as the Winner – Education Sector is a powerful recognition of CIPM's unwavering commitment to transforming professional education through internationally recognized qualifications, innovative learning methodologies, academic excellence, research, industry engagement, and the continuous development of human capital.
