Colombo Hilton revenue up 18.7% in 2017, PED recommends formulating flexible packages

Hotel Developers Lanka (HDL), the owning company of the iconic Colombo Hilton had recorded revenue at Rs. 3,015 million in 2016/17 financial year from Rs. 2,540 million in 2015/16 financial year, an increase of 18.7% the latest annual review of the Department of the Public Enterprises (PED) highlights.

“HDL recorded a profit before tax amounting to Rs. 219 million during 2016/17 financial year compared to profit recorded in 2015/16 amounted to Rs 172 million” report notes PED adding that formulating flexible pricing packages in order to attract both local and foreign tourists of each spending layer is vital.
