The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) ended Thursday's (16) trading session in positive territory, with both benchmark indices posting modest gains.

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) rose by 29.77 points to close at 21,447.57, while the S&P SL20 Index gained 16.37 points to end the day at 6,004.99.

Market turnover for the session amounted to Rs. 1.48 billion.

E.B. Creasy & Company PLC emerged as the top contributor to the day's turnover, generating Rs. 410 million in traded value. This included a crossing worth Rs. 260 million.

Apart from E.B. Creasy & Company PLC, ACL Cables PLC was the only other listed company to record a turnover exceeding Rs. 100 million, with transactions totaling Rs. 114 million during the session.
