DIMO has partnered with the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) and the Sri Lanka Tennis Premier League (SLTPL) to install an international-standard floodlighting system across four of the country's key hard courts, including the iconic centre court, marking a significant upgrade to Sri Lanka's tennis infrastructure.

The new lighting system, designed in accordance with international federation guidelines, will enable year-round evening training and competition while producing playing conditions that resemble those found at leading international tournaments. The project is anticipated to strengthen player development, expand training opportunities, and enhance Sri Lanka's capacity to host high-quality nighttime tennis events. Working with leading international principal brands, DIMO is delivering the project through its in-house engineering expertise, covering technical design, electrical distribution, lighting simulations, installation, testing, and commissioning to meet international performance standards.

Players can easily follow high-speed play, overhead shots, and lobs because of the lighting system's design, which minimizes glare and provides uniform illumination. In order to reduce energy consumption and operational expenses, the design also supports broadcasting standards and integrates energy-efficient LED technology with zoned lighting controls, enabling individual courts to be illuminated independently.

The project is progressing through installation, testing, and commissioning and is expected to be completed in the coming weeks. A nighttime exhibition match will officially unveil the upgraded courts, marking a new chapter for Sri Lankan tennis.
