EPF Exits Investments in Six Listed Companies in 2025

Latest data from the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) shows that the Fund has fully divested its holdings in six companies listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange during 2025.

As of 31 December 2024, the EPF held equity investments in 65 listed companies. By 31 December 2025, this number had decreased to 59 companies.

A comparison of the year-end portfolios reveals that the Fund completely exited the following companies:

  • Cargills Bank PLC
  • Ceylon Hotels Corporation PLC
  • Colombo Dockyard PLC
  • Jetwing Symphony PLC
  • Laugfs Gas PLC (Voting and Non-Voting)
  • Sierra Cables PLC

During the year, the EPF made one new investment, purchasing 40 million shares in Hemas Holdings PLC.

At the end of 2025, the EPF’s listed equity portfolio stood at 59 companies, with a total purchase cost of Rs. 77.92 billion and a market value of Rs. 188.85 billion.
