ESOFT UNI has marked a historic milestone for Sri Lanka’s education sector by securing its third consecutive ASOCIO honour, receiving the prestigious AI in Education Award 2026 at the ASOCIO Digital & AI Summit held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The achievement marks a significant moment for ESOFT UNI, making it the only educational institution in Sri Lanka to have received ASOCIO honours for three consecutive years. Representing Sri Lanka on an international platform, the institution continues to gain recognition for its contributions to educational innovation, technology integration and the advancement of digital learning.

The 2026 AI in Education Award recognises organisations that demonstrate excellence in applying Artificial Intelligence to enhance teaching and learning, improve student outcomes and expand access to quality education. For ESOFT UNI, the recognition reflects its continued commitment to integrating emerging technologies into education and preparing students for an increasingly AI-driven world.

Three Years of International Recognition

ESOFT's journey of international recognition through ASOCIO began in 2024 and has continued with three distinguished honours across the Asia-Oceania region.

2024 – EdTech Award | Tokyo, Japan

2025 – Talent Development Award | Taiwan

2026 – AI in Education Award | Jakarta, Indonesia

The Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO), established in 1984, represents national ICT associations across the Asia-Oceania region and plays an important role in promoting technological development, digital transformation and collaboration among member economies.

Receiving recognition from such an established regional organisation further strengthens ESOFT UNI's position within the international education and technology landscape.

At the 2026 awards ceremony in Jakarta, *Dr. Dayan Rajapakse, Chairman and Managing Director of the ESOFT Group of Companies, and Mr. Amila Bandara, Chief Operating Officer,* proudly received the award on behalf of the organisation.
