Aitken Spence headed by prominent Sri Lankan business magnate Harry Jayawardena is preparing to buy the picturesque Amethyst Resort, the first hotel belonging to Amethyst Leisure (Pvt) Limited and constructed on a 10 acre block of land at the Eastern tourist spot of Pasikudah in 2011, adaderanabiz.lk reliably learns.

Several rounds of discussions have already been held over this purchase.

This hotel which began operations in 2012 was built by Arrc Capital where Ms. Rohini Nanayakkara and Rajan Asirwatham are directors and declared open by Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa.

Aitken Spence Hotels Limited, a subsidiary of the Aitken Spence Group owns several star class hotels in Sri Lanka, India and Oman.
