What if fitness was something children looked forward to, rather than something they were told they needed to do? FHIIT is putting a playful spin on that question with the launch of FHIIT Kids Club, a dedicated programme designed to help children discover movement, build confidence and develop healthy relationships with fitness from an early age.
Held every Saturday from 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon at FHIIT Colombo 05, the programme is designed around the understanding that children do not need adult workouts made smaller. They need movement experiences designed around how they learn, play and grow.
FHIIT Kids Club is divided into three age groups, 3–6, 7–10 and 11–13 years, allowing sessions to be tailored to different developmental stages. Through games, movement challenges and interactive exercises, children are encouraged to develop coordination, balance, agility, movement awareness and problem-solving skills, while building confidence and learning the value of teamwork.
The programme also reflects a growing shift in how fitness is viewed, moving beyond appearance and performance towards physical literacy, confidence and lifelong wellbeing. While dedicated children's fitness programmes already exist in Sri Lanka, FHIIT Kids Club brings FHIIT's own functional-fitness philosophy into a purpose-built programme for younger participants.
Ultimately, FHIIT Kids Club is about making movement feel less like a routine and more like an adventure, giving children the space to run, think, play, connect and discover what their bodies can do.
Because stronger bodies are only part of the story. FHIIT is building stronger minds, too.
