Mr. M.R.A.G.B. Muthukude, a Senior Officer of the Special Grade of the Sri Lanka Accountants' Service, has been appointed as the new Director General of the Department of Management Audit of the General Treasury.

During his long public service career of nearly thirty years, he has held many responsible positions such as Director and Additional Director General of the Department of Management Audit under the Ministry of Finance, Additional Director General of the Department of Public Finance, Chief Financial Officer of the Department of Sri Lanka Customs, as well as Director of Finance and Accountant in several leading state institutions, and is an officer who has acquired exceptional expertise and experience in the field of public financial management.

Having obtained his university education from the Rajarata University, he has successfully completed his postgraduate degree at the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA), fulfilling his professional qualifications.

In addition, he has received advanced professional training both locally and internationally from foreign countries such as the United Kingdom, Thailand, Malaysia, and China under the subject areas of public policy formulation, financial management, and project management; he is a highly efficient and experienced officer who is well-regarded within the public service of Sri Lanka.
