With the dedicated coverage enhancement solution at the Lotus Tower, Hutch customers, whether they are tenants or visitors can now enjoy enhanced mobile connectivity no matter where they are in the building; from the tower podium to the summit, including the lifts, inside the stem of the lotus flower and the upper floors.

Ensuring a superior performance level of operation and service availability, Hutch deployed the latest Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) supplied by multinational telecommunications systems provider, ZTE Corporation. “We understand that Hutch customers inside the Lotus Tower will insist on high-performance connectivity. The ceremoniously inaugurated ‘Lotus Tower’ stands at a total height of 350m and is the tallest tower in South Asia. The Tower’s ICT infrastructure also ensures that it acts as a single transmission hub for telecommunications, Digital TV and radio. The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka(TRCSL) played a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life, and had managed the project as part of its drive of enhancing the lifestyle of Sri Lankans through the development of telecommunications infrastructure.

The majestic building is set to become a major tourist attraction within Colombo City, replete with restaurants, exhibition halls, a telecommunication museum, conference halls, ballroom, hotel rooms, and an observation gallery.
