JAMES Packer and Mariah Carey were snapped backstage at a Las Vegas concert enjoying a private moment, the US songstress wearing a $500,000 necklace Packer had splashed out on.

The photo was taken in Las Vegas moments after Mariah Carey told her fans of her “new heart”.

The 45-year-old mega star looked elated after dedicating her rendition of Hero to her billionaire beau, James Packer, during a concert at Caesars Palace’s The Colosseum.

“I have a new heart tonight,” the songbird told her fans. “James is in my heart tonight.”

The picture was taken moments after Carey posted a picture to her Instagram account showing off the new necklace.

Packer reportedly presented her with a 18-carat heart-shaped yellow diamond on a platinum chain before she went on stage.

Packer, whose love match with Carey was revealed during a swing through the Mediterranean last month, has told friends he found himself misting up over the song tribute.
