JKH offers Trinco Blu by Cinnamon to be used as a quarantine center

Third corporate announce willingness to temporarily release hotels for quarantine purposes

John Keels Holdings (JKH) has offered to use one of its resort in Trincomalee (Trinco Blu by Cinnamon)as a Quarantine Center by the government to Prevent Covid – 19 on a temporary basis if the need arises.

JKH Chairman Krishan Balendra has written to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa making this offer in order to battle against preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

Earlier, Citrus Waskaduwa offered its 150 roomed resort in Waskaduwa and Hemas Holdings offered the 154-room Club Hotel Dolphin in Negombo to be used as a temporary quarantine center. Accordingly, JKH will be the third corporate to do so.

As of today (21), the Covid-19 case tally in the country stands at 76. According to the report published by the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry this morning (21), 245 patients are under observation at selected hospitals on suspicion of being infected with the virus.
