Johnson’s Baby, the global experts in baby care, announced the launch of a new TV program ‘Aadaraye Palamu Padama’ (the First Lesson of Love) which focuses on baby and maternal care. The weekly program is hosted by mother of twins, Yehali Sangakkara, and features numerous mothers along with their babies to talk about their experiences and challenges. Amongst the guest panel are pediatricians, doctors and midwives who interact with the mothers with advice and experiences. The TV program airs on ITN every Sunday at 5.00 pm.

“Johnson’s Baby is a brand trusted by many generations of Sri Lankan mothers. As a result we were keen to embark on a project that would be beneficial to as many mothers as possible. We believe that this program has the potential to be a great source of knowledge and expertise for mothers throughout the island,” said Mr. Varun das, Country Manager, J&J Sri Lanka and Maldives.

He added, “New mothers constantly look to professionals and also to those around them for advice and information on how best to care for their precious babies. Our host Yehali is a mother herself and has experiences that she can share. The professionals on the panel are experts in their respective fields and will provide valuable information and advice to the mothers who join us as guests.”

Speaking about the program Yehali Sangakkara said, “I am delighted to be a part of this wonderful initiative. A new mother will always have a host of questions that need answering and so many different challenges to overcome. This show is a platform for us to reach out to all those women who may not have access to relevant information regarding maternal and baby care. It is indeed interesting and entertaining to hear the different experiences and insights shared by the mothers that come on the show.

Johnson & Johnson has been in Sri Lanka for over 40 years nurturing generations of babies and toddlers.
