Litmus, the Contemporary Marcom Agency, has won seven awards at SLIM DIGIS 2.6 for campaigns created for PickMe, Vision Care, Marmite, Glow & Lovely and Knorr, recognising work built on cultural insight rather than surface-level localisation.
For Litmus, great marketing begins with understanding people: their culture, habits, language and what matters to them. The winning campaigns show how that thinking plays out across categories.
PickMe: "Ride That Redefined Mobility" turned the everyday hassle of commuting into relatable, cross-media storytelling, earning two wins.
Vision Care: "Embracing Culture" went beyond translation, drawing on the dialects and cultural nuances of the Northern Tamil and Eastern Muslim communities to win Best Use of Creative Content.
Marmite: "Eat. React. Repeat." used personalities including Anudi, Ashanya, Sasha, Damith and Gangulee to make a familiar FMCG brand part of contemporary food culture, winning two awards.
Glow & Lovely: "It's Purple for Nallur" treated Nallur as a cultural moment, combining content, colour, personalities, a mural and an on-ground activation.
Knorr: The Ifthar campaign looked beyond the food to sharing, family and togetherness.
Across all five, the philosophy is consistent: understand the culture, find the human truth, build the idea, then make it matter.
Effectiveness to match the creativity
The DIGIS wins come on the back of a strong year for the agency on effectiveness. Litmus has recorded 11 Effie wins this year for work on Sunsilk, PickMe, Vaseline and Knorr, a reminder that the agency's culture-led ideas are also built to deliver business impact. Together, the two sets of awards reflect recognition across both the creative and the effectiveness dimensions of modern marketing.
Rooted in Sri Lanka
Founded in 2017, Litmus is a Contemporary Marcom Agency with digital at its core, serving local and multinational brands. It has invested heavily in local insight mining and specialises in local language and cultural communication, while adopting global technologies and best practices through its work with multinationals.
For Litmus, regional communication is never a translation job. Ideas are conceived in the local context and language, and produced in native areas with access to an islandwide talent pool, especially in the North and East.
For Litmus, the awards are ultimately a by-product of a bigger ambition: helping brands become more relevant in a market as diverse and culturally nuanced as Sri Lanka.
