Media Networking session and Roadshow (B2B) & Networking Evening | 05th – 06th April 2026 | Dhaka, Bangladesh

Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau , (SLTPB ) in coordination with the High commission of Sri Lanka in Bangladesh , organized the first-ever Media Networking Session and Roadshow (B2B) & Networking Evening in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 05th & 06th April 2026, which came to a conclusion on positive and a   successful note . 

The Media Networking Session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 35 leading media personnel, fostering strong media relations and enhancing destination awareness. Their curiosity and enthusiasm in gaining more information on the island was highlighted as they participated actively in the Q&A session in the Press Conference held by SLTPB .

The Roadshow (B2B) & Networking Evening was highly productive, with 147 travel agents from Bangladesh engaging in fruitful discussions with 19 Sri Lankan travel and tourism companies, paving the way for future collaborations and increased tourist arrivals. The participation of SriLankan Airlines and FitsAir,added more value to the event ,further strengthening connectivity and partnership opportunities between the two countries.

The events were graced by distinguished dignitaries, including:
His Excellency Mr. Dharmapala Weerakkody, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Bangladesh,
Mr. Buddhika Hewawasam, Chairman, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, Ms. Nuzhat Yasmin, Chief Executive Officer of the Bangladesh Tourism Board,
Mr. Mohammad Rafuzzaman, President of the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB),
Mr. Syed Ghulam Mohammed, President of the Bangladesh Outbound Tour Operators Association (BOTOA).

Their presence underscored the importance of strengthening tourism ties between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

These successful engagements mark a significant milestone in positioning Sri Lanka as a preferred destination for Bangladeshi travellers, thus Sri Lanka Tourism always look forward to building on this momentum in the future.
