MTD Walkers PLC yesterday (30) announced that the Share Sale and Purchase Agreement (SSPA) signed between MTD Capital BHD and Lakma Holdings (Private) Limited has been terminated.

In a stock exchange filing, the company stated that they have been informed by the majority shareholder MTD Capital BHD that the Share Sale and Purchase Agreement (SSPA) dated 20 August 2020 signed between them and Lakma Holdings (Private) Limited has been terminated.

On 21st August 2020, in a filing to the Colombo Stock Exchange,  MTD Walkers informed that Lakma Holdings (Private) Limited had agreed to purchase from MTD Capital Bhd, the majority shareholding of the company of 152,183,583 shares held by them constituting to 90.78% of issued shares of the company subject to a legal due diligence by two independent expert firms appointed by Lakma Holdings (Private) Limited.
