October, 9, 2026

Novus Technologies has come on board as the Platinum Sponsor of the inaugural Sri Lanka FinTech Festival 2026, the official national FinTech festival organized by the FinTech Forum Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Economy.

The Sri Lanka FinTech Festival 2026 will take place on 2nd and 3rd November 2026 at the Shangri-La Colombo, bringing together leading figures from the FinTech, banking, NBFI, technology and investment sectors, alongside policymakers, government representatives, international networks and regional partners.

Held under the theme “Building Capacity and Creating Opportunities to Scale Sri Lanka’s Digital Future,” the festival aims to position Sri Lanka as an emerging FinTech and digital economy hub within Asia and create opportunities for greater international collaboration, investment and market access.

The two-day festival will feature a series of high-impact engagements. The programme will commence on 2nd November with CEOs Night, an exclusive gathering for senior stakeholders, including banking and FinTech CEOs, members of the FinTech Forum Board and Advisory Council, distinguished speakers, sponsors and government representatives.

The main event, the Sri Lanka FinTech Expo, will take place on 3rd November as a full-day, ticketed programme and the festival will conclude with FinTech Night, a networking reception and celebration featuring the FinTech Awards, bringing together festival participants, invited guests and dedicated Night-Only ticket holders.

Novus’s partnership as Platinum Sponsor builds on a decade-long commitment to Sri Lanka's financial sector and reflects the growing importance of technology and payment innovation in advancing Sri Lanka’s digital economy. Since establishing NovusTech Transact Lanka in Colombo in 2016, Novus has become a trusted technology and operations partner to Sri Lankan banks and today serves eight local financial institutions.

With its expertise in building and modernising payment eco-systems, driving digital transformation, innovating cybersecurity, fraud management and cross-border payments across regulated high-growth markets, Novus brings valuable international experience and industry insight to the Sri Lanka FinTech Festival 2026.

Through its modular digital and AI-powered payment platforms, managed services and teams operating across seven countries, Novus is helping businesses and financial institutions digitize payment journeys and simplify payment operations, scale efficiently and respond to the evolving demands of the digital economy.

As Sri Lanka's financial services become increasingly digital, real-time and interconnected, cybersecurity and fraud prevention have become the foundation of trust on which the entire FinTech ecosystem depends. Through novaTRUST, its security and compliance services portfolio, Novus provides banks, payment operators and FinTechs with bank-grade protection delivered as a managed service. This includes Hardware Security Module (HSM) as a Service, cryptographic key management, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), digital certificates and signing, remote key injection and a 24/7 Security Operations Centre.

Novus also brings AI-powered fraud management, which uses machine learning and behavioural analytics to monitor transactions in real time, detect anomalies and stop fraudulent activity before it causes losses. This moves institutions beyond traditional rule-based controls. Built on Novus's own PCI DSS v4.0 and PCI PIN-certified operations in Colombo, and its shared HSM infrastructure already protecting transactions for multiple Sri Lankan banks, these capabilities make enterprise-level security and fraud protection accessible and affordable for institutions of every size. This helps them counter evolving cyber threats and financial crime, meet regulatory expectations and strengthen the resilience of Sri Lanka's digital payment ecosystem as it scales.

As Sri Lanka continues to strengthen its digital financial ecosystem, Novus’s presence at the festival reinforces the importance of globally connected payment expertise in enabling innovation, scalability and greater access to digital financial services.

The Sri Lanka FinTech Festival 2026 is positioned as a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration and new business opportunities, connecting Sri Lankan innovators and institutions with regional and international FinTech networks. The festival will also highlight the country’s evolving digital infrastructure, growing FinTech sector and enabling regulatory environment.
