Oxford College of Business recognized at Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards 2021

Oxford College of Business was declared 2nd Runner Up in the 'Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award 2021'  in the category of Businesses with Less than Rs. 15 Billion Annual Turnover based on complex criteria linked to social, environmental and economic value, compliance, resilience, stakeholder management and crisis response at the  annual event organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, the country's premier business chamber to recognize sustainable champions of the local corporate world.

The Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards programme has been in operation for 18 consecutive years and received 63 applications in 2021, the highest number of applications received in the history of the programme. This annual event recognises best practices of organisations that have successfully achieved a sustainable balance between social, environmental and economic performance. The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce hosted this award with an esteemed panel of experienced evaluators and judges comprising of industry leaders, and experts on sustainable development.

The awards ceremony was held at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo amidst a gathering of 250 top corporate executives. Norwegian Ambassador Trine Jøranli Eskedal attended as the Chief Guest of the event while Dr Priyantha Wijayatunga , Chief of Energy Sector Group, Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department, Asian Development Bank, Manila, Philippines delivered the keynote address.

The Director/CEO of Oxford College of Business, Malindu Ranasinghe said, “I give all glory to Christ alone for this award.
