Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo is proud to be the official host hotel of the Ironman 70.3 Colombo. Pro-Am Serendib (Pvt.) Ltd., the official licensee of the World Triathlon Corporation and owner of the Ironman global triathlon brand, is gearing up to hold this prestigious international sporting event in Sri Lanka, which is the only Ironman event to be held in the South Asian region. The recently held press conference was graced by Chief Guest, Honourable Dayasiri Jayasekara, Minister of Sports.  Scheduled for 25 February 2018, the event features a 1.9 km sea swim, 90 km bike ride and a 21.1 km run to be completed within a 7 hour period, with all the action commencing right in front of Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo, on the Galle Face Green promenade.

Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo is the most anticipated and luxurious new 5-star hotel to open in Colombo in the last three decades. In addition to the ideal location just across from the Ironman 70.3 event, the hotel will also host all major meetings, events and celebrations during this exciting week, making it the perfect choice for guests travelling in from around the globe.
