Singer Sri Lanka PLC and Fairfirst Insurance Ltd. Launch Sri Lanka’s First In-Store Motor Insurance Solution

July, 31, 2026

Singer Sri Lanka PLC and Fairfirst Insurance Ltd. have partnered to introduce a breakthrough insurance experience in Sri Lanka by making motor insurance services available directly through Singer showrooms across the island. This collaboration offers customers greater convenience, enabling them to purchase motor insurance seamlessly by simply scanning a QR code at their nearest Singer branch, supported by digitally enabled systems.

Available through Singer’s network of more than 425 showrooms, the service is designed to deliver a faster, simpler, and more transparent customer experience by reducing paperwork and streamlining the overall process. The partnership combines Fairfirst’s customer-focused insurance expertise with Singer’s unmatched retail reach, creating greater accessibility to trusted insurance solutions for customers nationwide.

The collaboration is set to bridge gaps in accessibility by extending motor insurance services beyond traditional urban touchpoints and into communities across the country where such services may not always be easily accessible. Through Singer’s strong presence across Sri Lanka, customers can now conveniently explore and access motor insurance solutions within familiar retail spaces in their own localities.

Commenting on the partnership, Singer Sri Lanka PLC Group Managing Director Mahesh Wijewardene said, “Singer has always focused on making essential products and services more accessible to Sri Lankans. This partnership with Fairfirst allows us to expand the value we offer customers by transforming our showroom network into a broader service platform that goes beyond retail. It also creates greater convenience for customers while strengthening engagement across our branch network.”

Fairfirst Insurance CEO Ravishankar Wickneswaran stated, “At Fairfirst, we believe insurance should be accessible, simple, and relevant to every community. Through this collaboration with Singer, we now have the opportunity to connect with customers across more parts of the country and help them better understand the insurance solutions available to them. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve a wider cross-section of Sri Lankans while continuing to align with our vision of making protection more inclusive and customer-centric.”

The collaboration also reflects the growing shift towards digitally enabled services in Sri Lanka, demonstrating how retail and financial service providers can work together to modernise customer experiences and convenience.
