Sirisena resigns as E-Channelling chairman

P.G Kumarasinghe Sirisena who served as the chairman/ non-Executive Director of E-Channelling PLC has tendered his resignation with effect from 22nd January 2020.

In a stock exchange filing today (28) the company said that the registration of Mr. P.G.K.Sirisena was informed to them on the 23'd of January 2020 and on receipt of same a Resolution was circulated among the Directors. On receipt of the signed resolution on 27th January 2020, the announcement is being made to the Colombo Stock Exchange.

The largest shareholder of E-Channelling PLC is Mobitel (Pvt) Ltd with a 87.59% stake.  Mobitel is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sri Lanka Telecom.

P.G Kumarasinghe Sirisena who served as the chairman of the Sri Lanka Telecom PLC (SLT) board tendered his resignation with effect from 6th January 2020 and Rohan Fernando was appointed as the new Chairman SLT.
