Sri Lanka’s official reserve assets saw a 6.3% decline in June 2026, falling to USD 6,450 million from USD 6,881 million in May, according to new Central Bank (CBSL) data.
This $431 million drop was largely driven by a 6.1% decrease in foreign exchange reserves, which fell to USD 6,254 million.
Gold reserves also took a hit, declining 11.7% to USD 191 million.
