The main index of the Colombo Stock Exchange, the All Share Price Index (ASPI) crossed the 6,600 point mark today (09). The ASPI surged 41.09 points ( or 0.63%) to close at 6,605.09.

The day’s trading recorded a turnover of  Rs. 5.29 billion. Here, Browns Investments PLC (Rs. 1.57 billion) made the highest contribution to the daily turnover. In addition, Hemas Holdings (Rs.332.23 million), Softlogic Life ( Rs.327.48 million) John Keells Holdings (Rs.209.38 million) LOLC Holdings (Rs.203.58 million) made significant contributions to the turnover.
