CIMA President Amal Ratnayake yesterday (16) stated that the country is witnessing drastic technology-led change and businesses are operating in an increasingly complex and ambiguous world.

“We understand the need to continuously push forward and adopt. Today businesses are operating in an increasingly complex and ambiguous world. Unprecedented changes and technological innovations are transforming the way we live and the way we work, Ratnayake said while speaking at the bell-ringing ceremony at the Colombo Stock Exchange’s (CSE) trading floor to mark CIMA’s 100 successful years.

In this transformative time, CIMA professionals play a crucial role in helping businesses thrive. Their knowledge, skills, and expertise drive sustainable businesses that have helped many organizations to achieve greater success,” Ratnayake added.

Meanwhile, CSE Chief Executive Officer Rajeeva Bandaranaike speaking at the event said,” CIMA completed 100 successful years of operating as a professional institute and has been helping individuals and businesses around the world to differentiate them by harnessing the full power of management accounting."

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is a UK based professional body offering training and qualification in management accountancy and related subjects. It is focused on accountants working in the industry and provides ongoing support and training for members.
