Touchwood appeals against liquidation order

The reforestation company Touchwood Investments PLC has appealed for the dismissal of a recent court order for its winding up and liquidation.  

Court ordered on 05 June 2014 that Touchwood Investments PLC be liquidated and wound up and the Colombo Commercial High Court No. 3 appointed G.K. Sudath Kumar as the liquidator.

A group of investors had filed a case before the Colombo Commercial High Court for the closure of the company while alleging that Touchwood Investments PLC had not paid the promised dividends to them and that several cheques issued by the company have not been honoured. Court ordered that the company be wound up liquidated.
