The Association of Commercial Bank Executives and the Commercial Bank branch of the Ceylon Bank Employees’ Union (CBEU), two trade unions representing nearly 80 per cent of the employees of the Bank have jointly written to the Director – Bank Supervision of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) expressing their concern over recent proposals alleged to have been made to the Managing Director of the Commercial Bank by the CBSL Deputy Governor.
