17th Annual Scientific Congress Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians

The Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians (SLCP) is holding their 17th Annual Scientific Congress this year from 26th to 29th of July at the Waters Edge, Battaramulla. This year’s theme is “Healthy start for a healthy future”, which emphasises the need for provision of good quality care from the time of conception through childhood. 

The SLCP President, Prof. Dulanie Gunasekera together with 2013/2014 council of the SLCP have organised a comprehensive programme which includes the participation of foreign and local lecturers who have excelled in their respective fields of interest. The programme consists of symposia, plenary lectures and guest lectures covering the major sub-specialty areas in Paediatrics such as Neonatology, Oncology, Respiratory Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology, Allergy, Communication skills and many more.

The Chief Guest is Dr Kim Dickson, Senior Advisor on Maternal and Newborn Health, UNICEF, New York and the Guest of Honour is Dr. T. L. Chambers OBE, FRCP, Former High Sheriff of Bristol.
