EPF Records Rs. 73.97 Billion Unrealized Profit from Stock Market Investments

The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has recorded an unrealized profit of Rs. 73.97 billion from its total investments in the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) as of the end of the first half of 2025, according to official reports.

This profit represents 86.13% of the fund’s total stock market investment value. The EPF has invested Rs. 85.88 billion across 64 listed companies, with the total market value of these investments rising to Rs. 159.85 billion by June 30, 2025.

Notably, the unrealized profit from several companies in which the EPF holds shares has exceeded Rs. 1 billion, underscoring the fund’s strong performance amid the market’s recovery.
