The Annual Inter-Branch & Department Quiz Competition of Amãna Bank was recently held for the second consecutive year at the Park Premier Conference Hall amidst the presence of a large gathering of the Bank’s employees. A total of 33 teams participated in this event representing the Bank’s island wide branch network and departments based in Colombo with tremendous enthusiasm. 

Speaking on the event the Bank’s Vice President Human Resources Mr Roomy Rahim said “Events of this nature generates tremendous value for the organization’s culture and performance.  Quiz competitions are fun events where learning is voluntary and rewarding and it also contributes to building teams. This is the second year in running and it should be an annual event in the bank’s activity calendar. The energy and commitment of all involved is encouraging.”

At the end of the competition, the branch from the hill capital, Kandy, emerged as the overall winners while New Product Initiative Department and Credit Administration Department were adjudged as second and third respectively in the overall category. Mr Mohamed Azmeer, the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and distributed the awards to the respective winners.
