Actis Investment Holdings SL Limited, the second largest shareholder in Asiri Hospitals Holdings Limited sold its ownership today (10 December). While this transaction was 371,085,695 shares of Asiri Holdings at Rs. 24 each, these were bought by Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith TPG Growth III SF Pte. Ltd.

Both parties are foreign investment funds.

This transaction is 27.87 per cent of Asiri Hospitals Holdings’ share capital, with the total value being Rs. 7,610,056,680.00 (Rs. 7.6 billion).

With this transaction the daily turnover of the stock market topped the Rs. 08 billion mark.

The Colombo Stock Market which was in a long slumber for a while showed signs of activity through this transaction.
