Bhasha wins mBillionth South Asian Award for the 2nd time

The popular Sri Lankan software company Bhasha Lanka won their 2nd International Award at mBillionth South Asian Award 2014 which was held on 18th July 2014 at India Habitat Center, New Delhi.

The award was for their product Helakuru, a Sinhala mobile keyboard app that also learns users’ word usage and predicts accordingly. Since its introduction a few years ago, Halakuru has risen to become the de facto standard for Sinhala keyboards on Android. It also won several local recognitions before becomming a winner at e-Swabhimani Awards 2013, The best local language software & a winner at NBQSA Awards 2013.

Bhasha won the same International Award in 2011 for their very first product SETT Browser which introduced browsing Sinhala web sites on mobiles for the first time. This year, Bhasha was the only Sri Lankan company to win the mBillionth Award competing with over 700 applications from 9 South Asian countries. b02
