BPPL’s Beira Brush to Acquire Ravi Industries Customer Base in Strategic Regional Push

July, 14, 2026

BPPL Holdings PLC (BPPL) has announced a significant strategic move to consolidate its position in the industrial brush-ware market. Through its wholly owned subsidiary, Beira Brush (Private) Limited, the group has entered into a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) to acquire the customer base and intellectual property of Ravi Industries Limited (RIL).

The transaction, which was approved by the BPPL Board of Directors on July 10, 2026, involves the transfer of RIL’s entire customer base along with the rights to the “Ravi” trademark and associated intellectual property.

According to a disclosure made to the Colombo Stock Exchange, the deal is structured with a performance-linked payment schedule. The consideration will be paid out over a five-year period, with annual installments tied directly to the revenue generated from the acquired customer base and trademarks. BPPL has stated that the minimum envisaged total consideration for the five-year term is Rupees Three Hundred Million (Rs. 300,000,000/-).

The acquisition is designed to "unlock synergies and cost efficiencies" for the BPPL group. By integrating the production for RIL’s customers into Beira Brush’s existing manufacturing facilities, the company expects to optimize its operations and reduce overhead.

A primary objective of this acquisition is to elevate Beira Brush's standing on the global stage. The company noted that this integration will position Beira Brush among the largest manufacturers of industrial brush-ware in Asia.
