Metropolitan Group, the market leader in office automation proudly launched Canon’s next-generation original Continuous Ink Supply System (CISS) Printers to the Sri Lankan market last week.

The G series printers has three new models – the single function G1000, multifunction G2000 and wireless*1 multifunction G3000 which allow users to enjoy high volume printing at extremely low running costs, while ensuring excellent print quality on documents and photos.

"The three new novel and innovative printers that have been built for heavy volumes are meant for offices which require quality and quantity of both documents and photos at an economical rate and unparalleled speed. The three printers come with large ink bottles that deliver high page yields to satisfy even the most demanding of home and home office users - up to 6,000 pages of black and white documents, and 7,000 pages of colour documents, without the hassle of frequent ink cartridge replacements.

"The printers are also designed in a manner that they don’t take up much needed valuable desk space. We know that ink leakages are a very common problem. These three new printers from Canon are designed in a way that unused ink comes with an ink bottle with screw down caps that prevent leakage," said Mr. Chaminda Rajapaksha, Assistant General Manager- Metropolitan Computers (Pvt) Ltd. He added that the printers come with a see-through integrated ink tanks within the printer body so that the users may easily know when to refill.

The PIXMA Ink Efficient G series printers also feature Canon’s renowned hybrid ink system, which combines the use of pigment black ink and dye colours to deliver stunning photos with Canon genuine paper media, and documents on office-grade papers with sharp, black text.

The versatile print engine generates 4R borderless photos in just 60 seconds, and is also capable of printing up to A4 sizes.

For wireless home environments and offices, the PIXMA Ink Efficient G3000 adds the advantages of mobile and cloud printing, making it easy to print documents and photos wirelessly from mobile phones, tablets, and laptops.
