Cargills Bank announced the appointment of Darshana Ratnayake as its Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) with effect from May 2019.

Mr. Ratnayake is a veteran banker with over 30 years of experience in banking and financial services, both locally and overseas. He has served at Cargills Bank in the capacity of Deputy General Manager Retail Banking since year 2017.

Having started his career at ANZ Grindlays Bank Colombo, Mr. Ratnayake has developed extensive experience in Credit (Retail, SME, Micro Finance & Corporate), Credit Risk, Branch Banking, Regional & Network Management, Remittances, Private Banking, Cards & Alternate Channels. He served as the Vice President of Retail Banking at NDB Bank& Prior to that he was at Hatton National Bank for 12 years and was instrumental in developing the retail banking business.
