CFA Society Sri Lanka announces workshop on “Financial Analyst 2.0: Using LLM Tools for Daily Workflows”

CFA Society Sri Lanka will host a half-day workshop titled “Financial Analyst 2.0: Using LLM Tools for Daily Workflows” in collaboration with Uzabase on Wednesday, 03 June 2026, from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott, Colombo City Centre.

Commenting on the workshop, Aruna Alwis, CEO of CFA Society Sri Lanka, said the session is designed to help finance professionals understand how Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Model tools are reshaping the role of financial analysts and transforming areas such as financial modelling, investment research, valuations, risk assessment, forecasting, and business decision-making.

Through practical case studies and industry examples, the workshop will highlight the skills, tools, and mindset required for finance professionals to remain relevant, improve productivity, and add greater strategic value in an increasingly AI-driven finance landscape.

The programme will cover the future role of financial analysts in an AI-enabled world, building financial models using Claude Cowork, applying Skill Modules for investment research and decision-making, and developing customized tools using LLM APIs. The session will followed by a Q&A session.

The workshop is targeted at finance professionals, CFA charterholders, CFA candidates, investment analysts, research professionals, corporate finance teams, business analysts, and decision-makers seeking practical exposure to AI and LLM tools in daily finance workflows.
