November, 23, 2017

In what can be termed as a partnership of excellence between two leaders in their respective industries, Chevron Lubricants and UTE Engineering inked a partnership to sell high quality US branded Donaldson filtration solutions represented by UTE exclusively through Chevron’s Island wide retail network.

Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC is a much-respected listed entity and part of the US energy giant Chevron Corporation, a top ranked Fortune 500 Company. As the country’s market leader for lubricants with the highest outlet penetration in the industry, Chevron Lanka continues to originate industry benchmarks of excellence and value while establishing a strong consumer franchise.

UTE Engineering having served the Engineering Industry over 70 years has been the Donaldson distributor in Sri Lanka for more than 15 years. The Donaldson brand founded in 1915 in USA is the largest Filtration Solution manufacturer in the world. They have expanded their product portfolio covering different sectors which include Construction Machinery, Transportation, Marine, Power Generation & Industrial Engines. Today Donaldson operates a network of approximately 140 sales, manufacturing and distribution locations in 44 countries across the world.

Expressing his views on the partnership, Mr. Kishu Gomes, Managing Director/CEO of Chevron Lubricants stated “We are pleased to partner with UTE Engineering to offer added value to our network of channel partners and their customers. In a market where there are various spurious lubricants sold by unscrupulous dealers, the Caltex network of Approved Oil Marts, Star Care and Xpress Lube outlets have earned a reputation of trust and reliability which we believe is what prompted UTE to use our branded channels to distribute Donaldson filtration solutions to the market”.

Chairman of UTE Engineering Mr. Prasan Fernando asserted “UTE Engineering is pleased to partner Chevron to market Donaldson filtration solutions through their retailer network, which I am confident would add value to both the Chevron retailers and the end users of these high quality filters. It is a Synergistic partnership"

Riyad Ismail CEO of UTE Engineering who signed the partnership agreement on behalf of UTE Engineering elaborated the importance of purchasing reputed brands of filtration solutions from a reliable agent as there are many inferior brands and spurious filters in the Sri Lankan market.

The Donaldson brand of filtration solutions will be available through Chevron’s exclusive vehicle service stations and lubricant retailers catering to all models of busses, trucks and tippers, whether manufactured in Europe or Asia. High quality is matched with competitive pricing that will specially benefit fleet owners of any model of busses, trucks and tippers.
