Citrus Waskaduwa, the luxurious beach resort along the unspoilt beaches of the South Western Coast has been recognized by TripAdvisor with a Certificate of Excellence, the first time a 5 star property in Sri Lanka has received the recognition in its very first year of operation.

The Certificate of Excellence is awarded to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that have consistently earned great reviews from travelers around the world; the feedback is measured against key performance indicators common to the sector.

“This achievement stands testimony to the excellent hospitality that is offered at Citrus Waskaduwa, where our ethos is to create ‘Happiness Moments’ for our guests. This recognition is a great encouragement for our team to aspire to even higher levels of product and service quality. I must also thank our valuable guests for the effort made to post a review of our hotel on TripAdvisor. We value their feedback, both negative and positive, because it empowers us to achieve greater things in the future,” said Chandana Talwatte- Director/CEO, Citrus Leisure PLC.

Citrus Waskaduwa is the latest addition to the 5 star resorts in Sri Lanka offering world class services and amenities, promising guests an unforgettable experience. The resort consists of 150 well-appointed rooms with an amazing view of the ocean and suites that emanate luxury and elegance at all times. The Ayurvedic wellness spa and banquet/conference facilities have been gaining in popularity making the property ideal for both business and leisure travelers alike. The hotel has also selected the very best talent for its F&B team, which is headed by world class chefs who have devised a great spread of delicacies and even an array of fine dining options to suit every palate.

Mr. Talwatte further added, “The Citrus Magic is driven by the whole team, whose skills have been fine-tuned through extensive training programs that promote a customer oriented mindset and a shared belief in creating “Happiness Moments”. The property has become very popular for day outings as well, and we have hosted a number of Banquet functions for corporate clients. We are also very popular among families who are attracted to the outdoor activities on offer, such as yoga, aerobics, beach volleyball, softball cricket and cycling tracks. Plans are also in place to introduce a horse riding track in the near future, which will doubtless create even more happiness moments.”
