Colombo Bourse reports the ‘Second highest Daily Turnover’ in history. JKH’s second largest shareholder sells its stake

Broga Hill Investments Limited has reportedly sold its entire stake in Sri Lanka’s John Keells Holdings PLC for an amount of Rs.22.6 billion.

Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Broga Hill Investment Limited is the second largest investor of John Keells Holdings (JKH).

Reportedly, 141.9 million shares equivalent to 10.8% of John Keells Holdings have been sold to a foreign buyer this morning (09).

The trade marked the second-highest turnover in history, after Sri Lanka Telecom share transaction for Rs.32 billion in 2008.

Market sources said the buyer is believed to be a foreign registered company.
